The ExtremeSnorkel will allow two divers to 49ft or one diver to 72ft. This new model will be especially of interest to scuba divers (sick of all the gear) and commercial divers for such activities as cray or abalone fishing, pearl and fish farming.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL EXTREME SNORKEL USERS
|
|
As the Extreme Snorkel is a serious piece of diving equipment the following information is important, for the safe use of this great new machine.
The Extreme Snorkel has been tested with 2 divers to 15m or one diver to 22m. As with the DeckSnorkel, Double DeckSnorkel or PowerSnorkel, once you get used to the units, you can achieve deeper levels. It is ideal for all the "experienced divers" who dive to 15m on scuba, as it costs around the same as a good set of scuba gear, but is a set-up for two, with no more on-costs, carting of tanks, fills, testing or carrying them on your boat.
Whilst we resisted these requests for some years, not wanting to produce a unit that "takes people onto the dive tables" and also provides a means of staying at depths for long periods of time. Decompression sickness "the bends" was our concern. Well, with the performance of the Extreme Snorkel, we are now well and truly into decompression dive level. For this reason, we will be making some very strong recommendations to its users, for their own safety:
1. As much as it is not a legal requirement to have scuba or full hookah diving certifications to use our units, we believe that anyone who is not properly trained is putting themselves at great risk diving to 15-20m depth. We therefore strongly recommend full scuba or hookah training before.
2. It is a requirement prior to purchase, you sign our Legal Waiver, stating that you understand that "to a far greater extent, than our shallower models" dive training is absolutely essential for safe use of the Extreme Snorkel and the use of PowerDive equipment is entirely at your own risk.
3. As the Extreme Snorkel is operated from a boats battery and can allow you to dive for hours at depths greater than 15m, a thorough knowledge of dive tables and strict adhesion to their limitations is required.

4. If you dive at say 15m for over an hour, it is necessary to carry out 5m safety stops, at the end of the dive (5 at 5). As this is necessary, you can image, that this will not be possible in the event of air failure, without "spare air". For this reason, we will be strongly recommending the carriage of a spare air bottle for each diver. This, will, add to the cost of your dive gear, but it does ensure your safety. What price do you put on your safety?
Having now advised you of our training and back-up air recommendations, all that is left to say is … used properly the Extreme Snorkel is a great piece of safe, convenient and fun diving equipment for the experienced diver.
