The Boat Unit Transducer can be mounted in a number of positions, depending on your personal requirements. It can be hull mounted, using the plastic mount included with the unit or an optional bronze or stainless steel mount, or simply hung from the side of your boat. Either way, optimum performance is best achieved when the transducer beam is not obstructed by a keel or propeller shaft and there is minimum deadrise angle.

The bronze mount is recommended for use in either wood or fiberglass hulls

The stainless steel mount is recommend for use in metal hulls where galvanic corrosion is not a problem.

The plastic mount is recommended for fiberglass and metal hulls, not wood.
