The accelerometer and transponder are built into a watertight capsule which is housed inside a specially designed aluminum bronze alloy casing.
This is the anchor unit which is shackled between the anchor and the chain.
There are 3 different sizes, designed to match the various chain & anchor sizes and weigths.
Battery longevity for the unit is approximately two months for anchor used every day. And reassuringly, the remaining life in your batteries can be checked via the relevant display on the promary alarm panel.

Changing the 2 X D cell alkaline batteries inside the transponder is a straightforward task.
The bronze alloy casing simply splits in teo, allowing you to quickly change the batteries without disconnecting it from either the anchor or anchor chain.

Once the capsule enters in contact with water, it will begin transmitting relevant information, updating it constantly every four seconds. |

The small anchor unit is suitable for chain size of 1/4"-5/16". ( 4-8 mm), good for anchors up to 40 lbs.
The medium anchor unit is suitable for chain size 5/16"-1/2". (8-13 mm), good for anchors up to 110 lbs.
The large anchor unit is suitable for chain size 1/2"-3/4". (13-22 mm), good for anchors heavier than 110 lbs.
